Case | Smart Supply Chain: ZCNEST Forklift AMR Seamless Integration with Racking System

1/ Project Request

 

1. Meet the requirements for multi-material mixed transportation in the high-level rack storage system, and realize the automated handling of finished products for outbound, inbound, and internal circulation within the warehouse.

 

2. Meet the customer's requirements for handling efficiency, and be able to view and monitor all material and task information within the system.

 

3. Connect with the high-level rack storage system, and have AMR work in coordination with the original automated control system to fully achieve seamless connection of equipment within the factory area.

 

2/ Project Implementation  

This project employs 3 Reach AMRs and 2 shuttle vehicles.

 

The goods produced in the factory are transported from the AMRs to the warehouse by Forklift AMRs. The RCS system is connected to the WCS system. Before storage, RFID is used for information verification to ensure the accuracy of the goods information. Then, the shuttle vehicles store the goods.

 

2/ Project process

 

Two sets of photoelectric sensors are installed at the mechanical arm unloading position. One set is used for triggering the task, and the other set is used to detect the arrival of the finished product pallet.

 

After the first group of photoelectric tasks are triggered, they are uploaded to the WCS system through the wireless I/O module.

 

The WCS system requests material handling requests from the WMS system based on the production line number, and then retrieves the relevant order number information for goods production.

 

The dispatching system assigns AMR to perform the warehousing waiting and warehousing operations.

 

Before the materials are entered into the AMR system, their information is read by the RFID reader.

 

WCS retrieves the basic information of the goods from the WMS system, and associates and binds the order number, basic information, and RFID code before sending the feedback.

 

After the report is successful, the Forklift AMR will store the goods, and the scheduling system will control the shuttle vehicle to perform the storage operation.

 

In addition, ZCNEST robots have integrated the control of Forklift AMRs with various automated equipment such as multi-point curtain doors and fireproof doors in the site, enabling coordinated control of the entire area's traffic and optimizing the overall operation logic.This has significantly enhanced the safety factor of the project's working environment.

Efficiency and Precision: The RFID system automatically connects and performs intelligent verification, effectively preventing the mismatch between data flow and pallet flow, ensuring the accuracy of the traceability of fast-moving product data flow.Meanwhile, AMR, while ensuring safety, can achieve a uniform speed of 1.2m/s in long straight routes, significantly improving the efficiency of inbound operations, and greatly enhancing the timeliness of logistics operations.

 

Stable Operation: The large-capacity battery of AMR, combined with the intelligent charging strategy of the automatic charging station, enables 7*24-hour automated production, providing stable and reliable logistics support for the enterprise.
